An exciting opportunity exists to join this market leading Multi-national within the Energy and ancillary products sector. Based on the North Shore and reporting to a Specialist Procurement Manager, you will join a small team within Operations and work in a structured, but autonomous role.
This position offers a mix of contracts management, supplier performance analysis and supply chain optimisation opportunities and will suit a recently degree qualified procurement professional with a background in engineering or heavy industry - though other industry backgrounds will be considered. Responsible for the Region South Pacific, it requires comprehensive experience in commodity pricing, supplier evaluation using a balanced scorecard system, stakeholder and supplier management.
In combination with expansive procurement experience, this role will suit candidates who are capable of demonstrating clear cost savings / cost avoidance achievements and who possess high levels of assertiveness and decisiveness, strong negotiation and influencing skills, the ability to engage internal stakeholders and strong project management abilities. Exposure to SAP and advanced MS Excel will be highly regarded, as well as demonstrated organisational, documentation and compliance skills. Role requirements include:
??? Negotiate, review and manage all energy supply arrangements, plant spares and service contract requirements, ensuring best possible rates and terms of supply.
??? Identify and evaluate long-term operations requirements and appropriate supply availability.
??? Manage all procurement activities in line with the organisation's business strategy.
??? Work closely with other Operations staff and internal stakeholders to exploit supply chain optimisation opportunities and improve operations efficiencies.
??? Experience as a green belt or above in Six Sigma will be highly regarded.
