Job Description
You will be responsible for managing a team of four within the Financial Accounting team. You will have a broad range of responsibilities including monthly internal reporting, statutory reporting, tax, and ad-hoc projects a required. You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in all aspects of financial accounting, including preparation of GST, FBT, payroll tax and income tax returns and preparation of financial reports. You will have strong technical accounting skills, including a thorough knowledge of current accounting standards and practices, cash and investment management, internal control, auditing procedures and business finance. Applicants must be CA/CPA qualified.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you must have a keen eye for detail coupled with an ability to prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met with accurate data produced. You will have highly developed oral and written communication skills as well as advanced IT systems skills and experience with Sun Financials would be highly desirable. You will also have a proactive, hands on approach and be confident mentoring and developing a mature, high calibre team. The key criteria that will differentiate the successful candidate will be a track record that demonstrates an ability and willingness to challenge current practices, then identify and implement improvements.
