2nd Generation Palomino Australian Pony, also eligible for registration with Dilutes Australia, AHSA and ASP
5YO 11.3hh (measured).
Jewel is a sweet type who is easy to handle, catch, rug, pick up feet, tack up and float. She had a foal last year and was a fantastic mum.
She is now being educated under saddle. She has a soft snaffle mouth, is responsive to leg aids without fizzing, has a good stop and will work on a loose rein. Three good paces, will go into and out of canter without fussing. She is very steady on the lunge and understands voice commands on the lunge and under saddle. She has also gone on a couple of trail rides and given some lead rein rides to young kids. She has also been ridden by capable 6 and 8 year olds and went very sweetly and softly for both.
She should be ready for a new home with a good basic education suitable for children to ride at the end of July. For riding off the lunge she will suit a more confident kind of child rider who is balanced and can give the aids without having to hang on. Her steady rythm and calm nature on the lunge make her ideal for giving lessons.
As she is a softer and more repsonsive pony she will not suit a very first pony or nervous beginner riders unless as a leadline pony or under capable adult supervision. She will make an outstanding pony club mount, will be a fantastic sporting and jumping pony, but is quiet enough for lead rein duties as she leads very softly.
