What Do I Do?

To fix the YLOD I use a reflux and reflowing method which is the next best thing from reballing (repinning and reinstalling - (which people don't normally do in Australia)) the two chips which would cost you a fortune!

What I do takes about an hour and it will bring your ps3 back to life! Save yourself from giving $250 to Sony to get somebody else's refurbished ps3 back when you can spend $100 with me and get your ps3 fixed today! I even do what they will end up doing, just in a simpler way :)

I'm located on the northside of Brisbane and all you have to do is drop it off with me and come back in about an hour or two!

I only ask a 20 dollar fee for opening the ps3 and if it works then you pay the rest, if not your ps3 is doomed beyond repair and I suppose you'll have to let Sony replace it.

For laser and power supply repairs, I can simply source you a new laser and install it for you.

What causes the YLOD?

Well I'll make it simple - The PS3 doesn't have adequate cooling and this combined with dust and locating the PS3 in a non ventilated area can make it get so hot that the connection between the processor and the motherboard gets slightly dislodged or cracked from being warped.

What I do is reconnect it and strengthen it - EASY!

Be sure to let me know if the PS3 you want repaired has already been repaired/opened beforehand as I'm not responsible for any other issues that may occur.
